Totally off topic I'd report it if I were you.

Tbf, that sounds like a good idea. I do remember a very similar game from a few years back, but I'd better not divulge the details

So, if the government says go back to work, its safe now, then presumably they should comply? [*there follows long list of demands about "safety" and working practices and so on, because as we know, 6 gazillion people will die if they aren't put in place   ]

Admittedly, the government is not getting a name for making its messages clear and concise, but I thought that was what was said last Sunday? The Unions, the teachers, Caroline Lucas types, etc, it seems, are reluctant for people to do so?

Here we go.

Can I just point out that the people who are on furlough didn't choose that - it was done based on orders from the government and their country.

Well the only dedicated 'garden centre' near me, about five miles up the road, which used to be a plant nursery and never has been a yuppie coffee shop, was absolutely delighted to sell me about 150 litres of compost and another 150 litres of forest bark two days ago.....

But then as a family run business they've been totally shafted by this plague.
<t>In matters of taxation, Lord Clyde\'s summing up in the 1929 case Inland Revenue v Ayrshire Pullman Services is worth a glance.</t>

If they open early and provide a decent drop of draught beer, DD will probably take it intravenously and make up the slack

I will bring the IV kit myself...

May I just point out the words "enforced holiday" and a smiley, Mr Spock.

This enforced holiday has been a ball for some people. 80% of pay for playing games on the X-box, or having Zoom meetings with family and friends.

It's going to be like opening clams to get them back to work, so best offer them 120% to go back.  :)

Wetherspoons could be forced to do that. (If the boycott works there might not be many customers either.)

not happy bunnies. Herself greeted the staff with fond cries and said that she bet that they were happy to be out of lockdown and back at work, but somehow I don't think they were.

I tried to explain to her that workforce had been paid 80% of their wages for sitting on their backsides at home and would probably have been happy to carry on doing so as long as Boris was prepared to shell out, but she didn't really take it on board. She is a lovely lass but sadly afflicted by a nasty case of the Yorkshire work ethic.

Anyway, we got out before the lad loading the motor shoved the Colorado Spruce I had bought somewhere that I did not want it to go.
