Which are of course are less intelligent than Yaroslav Shitov.

No I did not make that name up! He's a mathematician who last year managed to disprove Hedetniemi's conjecture.

Well you could get two possible oxymorons out of that.

You could have Liberal democrat or the liberal Democrat.

The second is the American version, because as you know, they have Democrats and Republicans.

Right now Liberal Democrat ...

Not for the words themselves, but the party  that claims the name.

There are some good joke ones. I think the classic boilerplate one of the 60s and 70s in America during Vietnam was the term military intelligence, popularised by Chomsky. I can't think of any other standard issue ones, but I have my own favourites. Some are a little politically incorrect, like 'women's rights'. Many men will tell you that everything a woman says is right, with a cheeky grin. Then there is the 'social worker'. This is a multidisciplinary activity where you can be socialising and working at the same time, just like if you were drinking down the 'working men's club'. They are not mutually exclusive as one might imagine if one's work involves hard graft. The Left are full of them. There are those who 'fight for peace', 'peace activists', there is 'UN peacekeeping forces', 'people's republics'. One that dawned on me today was the 'CIA Factbook'. It's been around for a while. There was the wartime 'Ministry of Information' as well. I think this was probably where Orwell got the idea of Minitrue from.

Let us know if you have any good ones.
