What you need to do is a bit of research.  In Doncaster, do something that is illegal in England but legal in Scotland and get yourself arrested. In court, once the proceedings are well under way, get your lawyer to announce "technically Doncaster has been part of Scotland since 1136 and the offence that my client is accused of is perfectly legal in Scotland. I maintain there is no case to answer." and see what happens.
