Don't you think you should wait until after those reports before hurling insults.

Only an idiot would aim fireworks over the heads of people attending a Remembrance Day service, no matter what

I bet he'll get 6 months for that, the maximum.

EDIT: I see the report has been updated and he got 16 weeks prison. Well deserved, I say.

At least he will be housed over Christmas.

I didn't say it did what makes you assume wrongly that I did not know that, but I do know it does effect some, what makes you think he is ex forces simply because the report mentioned he was thought to be wearing army clothing?

Your post implied all, I also put a question mark, because at least a quarter of rough sleepers/homeless/squatters are ex armed services.

Perhaps not, loud bangs are very likely to give them flashbacks and set their nerves on edge, dive for cover not good for their condition at all

That does not apply to all military PTSD sufferers.

I always find Remembrance Day very moving , this years televised broadcast from the Albert Hall was extremely well done, some survivors told their very moving first hand experience, one was by a lady who had fought the Germans at the age of 17 years in the Warsaw Ghetto , and managed to survive the camps after capture.

Yesterday two of our grandchildren marched with their Cadet Squadron wife and I are very proud of them, as did Navy and Army Cadets, Scouts, Cubs, Girl Guides , Fire Brigade, Police, St Johns Ambulance, the service was held outside the local United Services Club, it was cold but sunny and thankfully dry.

Today is a day it is legal to set off fireworks until 23:00

Pardon?

Today is a day it is legal to set off fireworks until 23:00 I believe. However in those circumstances I reckon he'll get done for at least a common law breach of the peace, or possibly Sec 5 Public Order Act, harassment alarm or distress, or all 3!!

Maybe. But he is lucky Plod turned up so quickly or he might have ended up suffering from a good kicking.

Local ceremony (my wife got "volunteered" to lay a wreath,) no sign of British Legion, (most local branches have closed,) and no bugler to play the last post.
