Forget links to slavery, they should be shut down for terrible reporting.  Horrible outfit - shoot the lot of them
That's been tried: In 2015, Saïd and Chérif Kouachi, forced their way into the offices of the French satirical weekly newspaper Charlie Hebdo in Paris. Armed with rifles and other weapons, they killed 12 people and injured 11 others.
Who's to judge whose reporting offends who and becomes a capital offence...?

The Guardian did the same thing in 2014 which it sold its stake in Auto Trader. Until then Honest John had the Grunaidian's back and it it could print whatever bollocks took its fancy, it always had the motor trade to pick up the bills. But right now it has a circulation not much bigger than that of my local Parish magazine, it is a bit like that Akira Kurosawa movie where the samuri kills himself with a bamboo sword. It is dying and being messy with it.

History is not there to be liked or disliked.

It is there to be learnt from.
Very true, but sadly hardly ever happens.

well, maybe, but as far back as I can remember (the day screaming lord sutch canvassed my vote in jim callaghan's swan song) politicians particularly, but not exclusively, those in power, seem awfull ykeen to crete national amnesia.
<t>In matters of taxation, Lord Clyde\'s summing up in the 1929 case Inland Revenue v Ayrshire Pullman Services is worth a glance.</t>

I'm sure there's several posters who might suggest where you could apply it...

Yes, but be fair PS, this thread was about the Guardian and you've turned it into a Mail bashing fest.

I thought balance was needed.

A mock-up illustration from a three-year old report by a campaign group that believes "resources and decisions about how they're used lie in the hands of the many, not the few" (we've heard those words before), doesn't give me any further data...

Pop up to Lye sometime (near Stourbridge) and then let us know what you think about Romanian criminal gangs on the streets.

There are Romanian bandits all over Britain.

Who's to judge whose reporting offends who and becomes a capital offence...?

Given the lies, smears, and propaganda and incitements to violence from some of the British press over the years that have resulted in suicides and deaths  the went past that limit decades ago.
I reckon some posts on here and other forums have content that is more likely to incite and justify violence — and provoke depression and suicide — than any of the mainstream news media...
