It's the British, way . Sir Mark ,goes with well rewarded good grace, why wouldn't he? His hands are tied on most issues anyway.
And if he used the few morsels he could use ,they would slaughter him, with superior press coverage.

Being head of the civil service I guess the secrets act comes into play , nice pension ,do as your told , say as your told sort of retirement at 55 . Nice work if you can get it .
