If one believes things happen in threes, I wonder what the third thing to breakdown is going to be.
(1) Car passed it MOT yesterday, I knew it would need new disc and brake pads on the front, not a problem and cheap to replace. Ignition key fob decided to disintegrate. Luckily we had a spare.
Repair kit for fob on its way.
(2) Our ancient sidecar outfit decided to be cantankerous whilst taking the ball and chain to pick the car up in the pouring rain.
My diagnosis it needs new spark plug caps, (special parts that only fit that model, spark plugs buried in the cylinder heads it need a special plug spanner, which I have.)  I thought would be difficult to source, been on the bike since 1982.
It also needs both ignition coils, they have been on the bike since 1982 as well.
I thought the parts would be in rocking horse poo and Unicorn territory.
However found them in Britain for a total of £36 including Victimisation of All Traders and postage.
I am now waiting for the number (3) to happen.
(We have several domestic appliances that are very old.)
