Something had to be done, the House has been stagnant for far too long over Brexit other issues are not being dealt

Could be worse if they find the bodies of the 4 Jehovah Witnesses that called last Easter

Since I put up a notice this is a Pagan household I have not seen any Jehovah's Witnesses.

That would be helpful just in case I missed something

I may be able to suggest ways to ensure all forensic traces are worthless....

You need to be careful, they'll have ISIS or Hezbollah round your house 😂

Rebecca Long Bailey stated on radio today that Labour don't want a GE because it's cold and people don't want to open their doors to an MP and let the cold in!!

You couldn't make it up.

Surely you are aware the age at which a child may consume an alcoholic beverage legally at home is FIVE....

What has that got to do with Labour.

Don't worry on it Pappy.

Labour has a policy of banning everything that might be fun, but I doubt that will ever stop fourteen year olds from having a few bottles of Merrydown somewhere discreet. There are still a few sparks of spirit (well, cider at any rate) in today's youth.

I must admit I found it laughable that Labour bans children from drinking,

Pardon?

Well, the vote last night failed but the BBC news tonight suggests the issue has come down to wrangling over details.

I must admit I found it laughable that Labour bans children from drinking, raised the smoking age to 18, forced children to stay in school until 18, bans them from buying a knife and fork to eat a takeaway meal with, wants to ban them from marrying (but not banning them having sex) but they are now to have a vote ....

Just half listening to Sky News and so far accusations of control freakery, Downing St trickery and dark arts seems to be in almost every other sentence. The latest is that by holding a GE before Christmas will mean that all the students will be down for the hols so therefore will be less accessible to vote.

Comments also follow that BJ should pursue the WA through the House but of course the opposition is desperate to get their amendments through which would involve a 2nd ref etc. I suspect we have pots calling the kettle black.

The PM has said he will give more time to debate hi deal if they agree to a 12th December GE. I don't think anything is up to BJ any more.

Mr Johnson has wanted a general election since he became Prime Minister in order to restore the parliamentary majority which Mrs May lost in 2017.

I initially thought that Mr Johnson's obstructed his bill being properly scrutinised because he was worried that the details would cause problems with it passing. I'm now starting to think that the plan was not only to stop scrutiny but to give Mr Johnson some leverage over parliament to secure the general election he always wanted.
