Dunno, although I imagine that even the MSM realise that they can't run Chinese flu stories for much longer and will now start to bombard its ever declining audience with tales of broken media types, down to their last skinny lattes.

which political institution hasn't milked holy hell out of it.
Just because I don't say anything, it doesn't mean I haven't noticed!

What is truly frightening is the fact that thousands of jobs seem to be being lost every single day. I cannot remember it being this bad since the very early 80s.

I have colleagues in work - several of them - whose partners have been laid off. It's affecting real people I know.

One of the more eye opening stories doing the rounds is how China has pretty much recovered, economically and looks forward to recurring growth as it fills the gap its pox has caused in western economic production.

Seems the weapon worked as planned ....
Frankly I think that's a nonsense conspiracy theory. If it were deliberate they would have infected others first, not themselves. And would have waited until they had a vaccine close to hand. It is far more likely to have been either incompetence - escaping from some lab - or was genuinely caught from infected animals

Well I ordered two things online yesterday one from China which from the delivery time is being sent by camel train along the silk road.
The other ordered from a factory in Taiwan is already on it way by airfreight 2 days delivery.

However any thoughts of Covid-19 being a weapon seems stupid to me, as it bumps off, or leaves people people with life changing damage to internal organs with no race, creed, or colour having immunity to it.

UK officially in recession for first time in 11 years

The UK economy suffered its biggest slump on record between April and June as coronavirus lockdown measures pushed the country officially into recession.

The economy shrank 20.4% compared with the first three months of the year.

Household spending plunged as shops were ordered to close, while factory and construction output also fell.

This pushed the UK into its first technical recession - defined as two straight quarters of economic decline - since 2009.

The Office for National Statistics (ONS) said the economy bounced back in June as government restrictions on movement started to ease.

Jonathan Athow, deputy national statistician for economic statistics, said: "The economy began to bounce back in June with shops reopening, factories beginning to ramp up production and housebuilding continuing to recover.

"Despite this, gross domestic product (GDP) in June still remains a sixth below its level in February, before the virus struck."
