I think due to the farce we have seen over the last 3 years in the House from the major parties the voter turn out may well be low voter apathy I think many have had enough of polotics and poloticians , membership of both Labour and the Tory Party has dropped rapidly over the few years.

Will this by-election need to take place with a GE happening soon ?, I don't know but if it does before the GE it would seem to a waste of time and money to me.

Labour have a 5000 odd majority in Bassetlaw so a Tory win might be possible, but not a walkover. Either way, it should be fun.

The Labour vote has been in steady decline for the last twenty years and suggests that the electorate have given matters a long hard think and probably won't respond well to Pappy's idea that the brothers and sisters should swan around, patting the voters on the head and telling them that they are all a lot of silly Billies who shouldn't listen to Tory fibs. But time will tell.

Hopefully it does depend on how many parties decide to stand for election in this constituency.

(Tories trying very hard with some lies and propaganda in the local media/press. Complaint to the Advertising Standards Authority on its way.)

Depending on what happens in Parliament tomorrow that may not be necessary anyway.

John Mann has resigned in favour of taking up a seat in the other place. This may trigger a by-election in his constituency.
