The new lockdown may cause fish prices to plummet as the hospitality industry closes its doors and European markets dwindle, seafood producers fear.

Prices dropped in March when the first coronavirus lockdown caused worldwide demand for seafood to fall drastically.

Jim Portus, from the South Western Fish Producers' Association, said there was "a feeling of dread that it may be as bad or worse than the first lockdown".

You'll have to do something about the boats British fishermen had to burn in the wake of a sellout to the EU.

I think there will be an upturn in British torpedo manufacturing though. I must check if the MOD made the same mistake as Rolls Royce over IP rights ....

Well lets hope the fishing communities are given every opportunity to so .

But regardless ,stopping foreign fleets plundering what is a national resource is the objective  with an upturn in the Uk fishing industry a bonus . Worst case the fish get to grow a bit bigger .
