Not as high amongst those put to death... I've got an idea 💡
I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you.

Their sentences do seem too lenient.

But whether they're inside for 10, 20 or even 30 years — apart from keeping them of the street — this raises the question of what's going to be done to stop them offending again?

There have been studies of ways to improve rehabilitation, eg:

However little appears to be actually happening.
Surely, continuing to arrest, put on trial, imprisoning, releasing. and then going through the whole process again is not only costly, but doesn't really improve society...
On climate change — we're talking, we're beginning to act, but we're still not doing enough...

I believe at least 2 of the scrotes are appealing against their conviction.
If so, the CPS should be allowed to run a retrial for the original substantive offence of murder, and maybe find a jury which can be protected from threatening gangs.

They'll probably have the sentence reduced even further...

PC Andrew Harper: Killers' sentences to be reviewed
4 minutes ago

The killers of PC Andrew Harper have had their sentences referred to the Court of Appeal after the attorney general considered them to be "unduly lenient".

Suella Braverman QC said attacks against emergency workers should be "punished with the greatest severity".

PC Harper, 28, suffered catastrophic injuries when he was dragged behind a getaway car in Berkshire last August.

Henry Long, Albert Bowers and Jessie Cole were convicted of manslaughter.

The driver, Long, 19, was jailed for 16 years while his passengers Bowers and Cole, both 18, were sentenced to 13 years each.

The three teenagers were all cleared of murder charges following a trial at the Old Bailey in London.
