Not really toots , theres a difference between losing it , and posting with passion about stuff you care.

I have rarely "lost " it online , it is after all merely an internet forum where most of us are simply talking bollocks about daft politics and politicians.

Mmmm  but I was always taught that if you lose it you lose the argument. I confess to being pushed quite hard on that front occasionally but then I just go quiet for a while until I regain my equilibrium. After all everyone's opinion is just that. Politically we are just ineffectual would be political anoraks ....... until there is an election!

Well, yes.  I think politics is about generalisation. There are probably environmentalists who hate whales and gay people who are racist, but they're exceptions.

I'm not sure that Brexit would be a good test since people in the centre ground of politics tended to support remain while those further to the right or left wanted to leave the EU. The right demonised the EU as a liberal left bureaucracy intent on taking over sovereign states while the left saw its roots as a tool of the West for use against the Soviet bloc, a leftover from the Cold War.
