And it won't last. It's an arms race. I gave the search string I used on a recently reset system and I don't think I used terms that matched this domain ... And yet you were high on page 1.

I think it must depend upon what search engine you are using.

I struggled using the terms "politics uk" "uk politics forums" "uk political forums" and similar.

This forum was most definitely not in second or third place nor anywhere on the first three pages.

I guess I should have switched to google which I think I did in the end

I always type in pol-tics.com whatever search engine I am using. Just remember to replace the "i" with a hyphen and you are in business.

I just fired up a tablet in "Incognito" mode, stripped of as many cookies as I could manage, dialed up duckduckgo and searched for "political forums UK" and I was rather surprised to see this forum in second place.

The following post is in no way intended as criticism. Or at least only constructive criticism.

But when my laptop died a couple of weeks ago, taking all it's saved sites with it, and I had to purchase a new one and find sites anew, I struggled to find this one. I did eventually find it obviously.

But is there any way this forum can be made more prominent and closer to the top on search engines?

I would welcome a busier forum due to more people joining and participating, from left to right. And this is more likely if more people find it.
