If right wing means they squeak occasionally about the thought police and Blairs authoritarian I will change the face of the UK forever and get back in line at the first sign of people saying feck the thought police, I guess they might be.

The Daily Telegraph may lose its way at times, but it would never have allowed Posy Simmonds to leave. Only a bunch of right on lefties supported by the motor trade would have been that dumb.

I have just gotten a email from the Daily Telegraph asking what I thought of their coverage of events.

I have replied that I am sure that their journalism is excellent, but that the real reason that I subscribe to the DT is the Alex cartoon strip. And I made the point that the writers Charles Peattie and Russell Taylor are in the habit of taking long breaks. I have therefore suggested that they knock up a few extra strips to cover their holidays.

I dare say that Chris Evans will take my comments on board.
