Tampon tax, hedgerows and sanctions: what's changed since Brexit?

Five very carefully chosen examples of Britain finally being allowed to do something after which the EU does the same the next day to pretend it wasn't blocking us.

The tampon tax is a particularly snide example of BBC remoanerism, featuring some EU wastrel saying it was not at all clear the EU would have demanded Britain's flagellation had they gone it alone and done this while an EU member.

Funny how that's the exact fucking opposite of every word the EU ever uttered on the subject while we were still tied to them.

<t>In matters of taxation, Lord Clyde\'s summing up in the 1929 case Inland Revenue v Ayrshire Pullman Services is worth a glance.</t>
