If the election were held today the Tories would get 43% - 47% of the vote whereas the anti British, let us close down as much of UK industry as we can and live on the dole Labour party will get about 33%. So one third of the electorate are ashamed of their country and I am ashamed of them.

 :hattip  Spot on !

Quite. The general election is going to be fought on a constituency by constituency basis. Anyone who thinks they can predict the outcome is fooling themselves.

Like every other GE before this one

Pound has strengthen over the last week, investors think there will not be a hung Parliament and a good enough majority for the winner, less confusion and stalemate in the Commons

Dunno Major. I should not think that many voters are greatly interested in the opinions of the New Stateman, which is an increasingly obscure publication with a circulation hardly bigger than my church newsletter.

More to the point is that with a leader who can barely conceal his contempt for the UK and its institutions, around a third of the electorate are still expected to vote for him.

They said instead: "The essential judgement that must be made is on Mr Corbyn himself. His reluctance to apologise for the anti-Semitism in Labour & to take a stance on Brexit ... make him unfit to be prime minister."

Meanwhile former Labour shadow cabinet minister Ivan Lewis has urged people to vote for the Conservatives next Thursday.

He served as Shadow Secretary of State for Northern Ireland until 2015, and is standing as an independent candidate in Bury South, wrote on Facebook: "Voting Conservative in Bury South is the only way to make sure Brexit is delivered, protect our national security and make sure that the economy doesn't crash".

"It is the only way for decent people of all faiths and none to say no to anti-semitism and show solidarity with their Jewish neighbours, workmates and friends."

Mr Lewis quit the party last year after he was suspended over sexual harassment claims, which have reputedly never been substantiated.

The Marxist Leader of the Labour Party seems to be losing support from all quarters.  :D  :D
