I dunno, I would find it a little odd that you reward them all top marks after having a no schooling for over probably the most important time of their schooling. Almost like they won't be needing any of it anyway.

After my daughter finished junior school her head teacher asked me for a favour. Analyse the SATS results which were a Labour of hell for all, against teachers predictions versus actual progress marked on acetate sheets as children progressed through school. In short I found the teachers predictions of their pupils ability remarkably well aimed.


I have deeply mixed feelings on this whole business. But I'm bloody pleased my grand daughter isn't caught in this maelstrom.



So I got asked to look at the junior school SATS figures versus the teachers assessments versus the progress Levington gged as each oupil in my daughter's junior  school
