Quote from: T00ts on October 26, 2021, 10:22:57 AMIt is an intelligent conversation. We say 'you are stinky' or 'you need a new nappy' and 'baby' either looks at you doe eyed or promptly heads for the hills.
Ah memories. I got told to sort Sarah out, lined up everything, and the instant the tabs were pulled and the old one was off she was over on all fours and racing out if the upstairs bathroom heading for the landing and the (open) staircase giggling like buggery  I just about has time to yell Moira she's getting away..... From that point onwards I was relegated to shoving stuff in the top end. Scraping it off the other was a task considered too difficult for me. Sarah used to projectile vomit whatever she had in the way of semi digested milk in her stomach, to make way for a fresh supply. And she had the accuracy of one of my laser guided ground to air shoulder launch rigs.... How she made it to school age I'll never know. Don't Ever Ask me to sit on the jury of a kid killer ......

I think the blonde lady was simply saying that you talk to your children whilst interacting with them. I think consent was too strong a word. As T00ts says, Piers Morgan is brusque and just looking to dominate everyone who comes onto the programme. (Which is why I only ever see clips).
It's a storm in a teacup, a non story. I've changed hundreds of nappies and done it whether the child is happy and compliant - in most cases, or when it's like wrestling an octopus, which is rare. When it needs doing, it has to be done, with the main objective to contain the spread of crap, as hygienically as possible.
Exactly. It is just a sign that the flu is over and the media need something else to make a fuss over. All a man need do is wipe the baby's bottom, put on a fresh nappy and go back to sleep. The idea of having a debate over the matter is simply further evidence that Piers Morgan is a total head dick.

Ok but that twonk is pretty much demanding an intelligent conversation ....
It is an intelligent conversation. We say 'you are stinky' or 'you need a new nappy' and 'baby' either looks at you doe eyed or promptly heads for the hills. The same outcome either way. Nappy gets changed one way or another unless of course 'baby' prefers nappy rash. The trouble is that some poor woke raised new mum isolated in her post natal depression actually believes this rubbish and ends up with Social Services breathing down her neck because she feels a failure because 'baby' is backward and didn't reciprocate the conversation. New mums are under enough pressure to conform and be perfect. I give up.

I certainly didn't suddenly up-end my children to change nappies or anything else without some form of communication. This woman is simply trying to make it a 'rule' that a set question is asked when it is something that is totally natural in most mothers and possibly fathers too - if they change nappies. 5 minutes of fame comes to mind. Having said that Piers Morgan has to be one of the rudest interviewers on the planet.

If this is the way serious debate is heading then count me out. Its even more ridiculous than Nalaar's Billionaire post and that's saying something.
