Makes you wonder if this doesn't follow on nicely from the youths / university thread.
I'm confident they wouldn't be out running amuck if they had to be up and out by 07:30 to get to work instead of lounging in until their first lecture at 14:00.
14:00 what world are you living in. Lectures still start at 8:30 although to be fair when I was attending them at that hour it was because you needed to pass the subject to get the job I had in mind. Most degrees in the Faculty of Medicine were like that.

On a lighter note, when I look at the spectacle of Westminster politics served up to us today, and the mostly utterly dishonest tricksters that fill the Lords  and Commons, with all the rampant corruption and brazen dishonesty, all I can say is this....

Guy Fawkes. Where are you when we need you?
We are not all in the same boat. We are in the same storm. Some of us have yachts. Some of us have canoes. Some of us are drowning.

That's quite rude! I am fairly certain that my daughter is like her mother and takes her news from a variety of places.

If the Daily Mail had sent reporters to your grandson's first bonfire night, there would not have been photos of his wonderfully innocent face, but a tale of riot police and their running battles with demonstrators.

My daughter spends much of her time worrying about what the future holds for her children because that is a mother's job. But she does have the sense to ignore the Daily Mail.

My daughter sent me a delightful video of my little grandson's first experience of bonfire night. His face holds all the wonder and innocence of a just 2 yr old. Then I turned to the press and Westminster has running battles with riot police and demonstrators. My daughter worries at what the future holds for her little boy. can't say I blame her.

I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you.
