Re the death threats against Starmer.

I am of course not his biggest fan as everyone here knows, but then again the same could be said for most others in parliament wasting good oxygen.

However, death threats are unacceptable whoever is on the receiving end, and that applies to everybody, not just politicians.

Of course we all know that in most cases such threats are made by insignificant nobodies who in real life wouldn't have the bottle to say boo to a goose. Problem is, that hidden amongst such types are a small number of people who are serious, either because of mental health issues or extremist views. This is why it is dangerous to ignore it. We cannot afford not to take such threats seriously, just in case.
We are not all in the same boat. We are in the same storm. Some of us have yachts. Some of us have canoes. Some of us are drowning.

You must have really upset someone!
I was not the only target. The stalker was a nasty bit of work.  The targets ended up setting up a forum the stalker could not access.

It was not anonymous, it was a sinecured academic who the authorities would do nothing about.
After they carked it they were found to have kept record of every post on every forum I had posted on for a decade.

To be honest papa if I thought it had got to the stage of being  'stalked over the internet' I think I would turn it off .

Most of the problems ,threats  ect  on social media are anonymous which is something they would probably like to  for various reasons remain .

Its those that dont threaten you but creep up on you in the dark or while you are asleep in your bed that you have to worry about >:D

The sooner they get a leader who directs them into fighting crime rather than chasing idiots on the internet the better it will be for all of us
Some of those "idiots" on the internet need putting in jail.

People seem to be forgetting who gave Savile a knighthood and made the security services "lose" 140 files.
