If the armed forces were undermanned and very ill equipped in 1938 and have been cut to shreds now, how have things changed?

The situation when it comes to fighting a war are the same currently.

Just one problem with the criticism of Neville Chamberlain. Britain's armed services were undermanned and very ill equipped at that time.

Any agreement with the current regime in Iran is about as good as the "Peace for our time" declaration by Neville Chamberlain in September 1938. On September 3rd 1939 war was declared. Best not to make any agreement with Iran whatsoever.

Mmmm. Well the current thing isn't working. Iran is moving on perhaps our way of dealing with them needs revision too. We certainly cannot leave the status quo. BJ has a habit of tossing things in the air to see how it lands. If nothing else it might cause people to think afresh. If the current deal proves worthy then fine but re-thinking things doesn't mean we are Trump's poodles.

After Boris's BBC interview this morning I am think of sending him a dog collar with "BoJo" Trump's poodle engraved on it.

What did he say then?

But Cromwell 'clothes maketh the man' - you don't see other world leaders trotting around showing their shirt tails. We are enough of a laughing stock already. He represents all of us so someone should take his wardrobe in hand and either buy him longer ones or pin him down.



I remember some years ago we girls devised a sort of body suit for a well tucked in look. I don't think they are around now. That would sort him.

Boris is one of lifes Scruffs,I am too and happy that way and guess he is too,I wasnt destined to look like a model in a saville row tailors.

Ok I give up. As a mere woman I really don't get it. Can any of you guys please tell me why BJ's shirt-tails inevitably hang below the back of his jacket. Film on the news once again shows him energetically running up some steps in Ireland and once again a white splurge of shirt flashes across his rump. Why - is it so tough to stay tucked in?

Cut him a little slack Toots. Boris is only 14 and that is how most teenage lads dress.

Now hang on - I thought the problem for the lads is that their trousers hang low.  For a while I assumed it was because they were well endowed but my daughters explained. I don't think BJ has that problem.   ::

He needs a couple of pieces of elastic on the front shirt tails and the rear that pass under the crotch and keep the bottom of the shirt in place. Simples.  :hattip

Or perhaps some men handkerchiefs stitched to the bottom edges front and back. I'll drop Carrie a line!  I hate a man looking unkempt and as PM it's really not acceptable.
