Lots of talk about about an attack on Freedom of Speech and Freedom of expression from a succession of talking heads today.
In principle I agree with them, Its simply that I would find their arguments more compelling if they were not the types that take the lead in shouting down and cancelling anything that they personally disagree with......

That's a failing of many advocates of political and religious positions. 

Strangely, I've not been aware of any attacks by moderates resulting in woundings and killings, whereas the extreme hardliners of any position often act themselves or incite — and then excuse — their followers or employees into harming others...

It can't be revoked. I recall the matter being discussed by the Islamists at the time Khomeini was sent on his journey to burn in hell, his death sentence could only have been revoked by him and therefore will stand for eternity, they said.
