Strangely, there is only you who ever talks about you.
Really? All you seem to do recently is comment about me.

It appears to me Nick you are not aware of a lot of things.

I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you.

That is a lie and a very nasty personal attack!!!!!

I wasn't aware we were talking on a personal level here.

No, but it is still on a personal level far too expensive to utilise it. (For me around £20000.)

There's enough energy hits the Earth in one second to power the Earth 10,000 times over. We just ignore it do we?

Currently Cornwall is saturated with solar panels to the point anymore and the applicants will have to pay for the extra infrastructure required for to connect to the grid. To fit solar panels and battery storage to my home and go completely off grid would be prohibitively expensive.

Actually that is not a bad idea. Musk wants to cover 10,000 sq miles with solar panels. Cornwall is about that 1/7 th of that and the UK population of the UK is about 1/6 th of the US, so the energy usage should more or less work out.

The experts in the US recon a 100sq mile of solar panels could power their country, not done the maths but surely we can accommodate the percentage of that, that we need? Job done.

If you read that link it agrees with me.
Seriously, I don't think it does. The link covers several schemes in which the theory appears to support the proposals. They haven't been set in real life operations yet, but the maths doesn't look outlandish.

Can you pick out the bits that suggest the idea is slam-dunk unworkable..

Nothing ever agrees with you because you never say anything, you just post the equivalent of click bait.
Nick it DOES agree with me, and very obviously so.

I knew I'd seen it somewhere, and let's be honest, we've got Pappy's take or a guy who has built a multi-billion dollar business on his ideas. Tough choice but I'm sticking with Musk thank you.

Well here's some people weighing up the idea and, while I'm no expert in PV design and engineering, it does look interesting...
