Because I don't hold back from stating uncomfortable but obvious facts. When I next get a day off on wednesday and have time to play with, remind me and I will research some data. Am too tired to be arsed with that right now.

But I can recall in the past reading data that confirmed the desire to curtail immigration was a significant motivating factor for many Brexit voters. It is also a significant motivating factor for many racists with a dislike of foreigners. It is therefore obvious that at least some of the former and the latter are the same people. Few racists would have been enthralled by the EU open border policy.

All this is logically obvious to all those who dont find such facts too uncomfortable to want to believe it. The Brexit vote would not have been won without the added support of racists. That you don't like that fact isn't my problem.

The rudeness would probably be the Remainers.  I must admit, I didn't realise Long-Remainism existed until recently. I don't know what to do about that, but it's probably just psychological.  Other than being misquoted I am even finding things are quite pleasant on this here political forum.

That's why the lie peddled alongside the unicorns and oven-ready deals was so easy to spot for those not blinded and deafened by the bright lights and foghorn sloganeering of the Brexit coalition...

There is no obvious fact for you to rely on, merely wild opinion and speculation.  I countered it by mentioning somebody who digs Hitler and the Nazi ideology, who was thoroughly opposed to the UKIP.  For him, Brexit would result in more neo-liberalism and trans-atlantic cooporation.  He didn't care about the country as much as he cared about race, and saw the EU as a future vessel that could one day suit his interests.  Something global Britain outside of the bureaucratic shackles will never be.

Oh yes, Hitler was a Remainer naturally. It's a good job Churchill was a Brexiteer in 1940. The Remainers would have invited Hitler in and offered up to him an improved version of the Straight Banana Directive.
