My home town most generous,except me who gives but wary of con charities with executives on massive salaries.

The biggest con is the fundraising platforms themselves (which the survey is talking about ) .  They take  between 3 and 5% of any donations for processing the payment which is why I never give through them .
Some of the well known charities have become  industries within themselves with all sorts of fundraising methods used that can see little actually getting through to charitable causes with big chunks going on running the charity .

As you allude cromwell some of the best paid CEO's in the UK are those that head charities and I have no intention of adding to their pot , most people I know would say the same .
