Well, according to these guys, the Tory vote has dropped 4% and Labour's has risen 7% since Boris resigned in July, so I don't suppose that Pumpton's return would be unwelcome. That said, there is something called (I think) Lieblings Law, which states that if a man is of sufficient perversity of mind he should be able to kick himself in his own arse, out the door and into the street. The way things are going I suspect that the Conservatives are about to prove it.
