I don't think any deputy PM, Tory or otherwise has been caught with a half million in cash in his house.

Yet.

The EU is corrupt.
Yes. We know.

Who cares?

Excellent.

I have a pig out over Christmas and the New Year and then allow the new reality to trim a few pounds off me. :)
Be careful what you wish for.

Food security and supply is going to get very difficult next year in Britain.

Gerry's shtick used to be that the Irish farmers were going to closed down the bacon mines and leave us all to starve to death for daring to leave the EU. I was rather looking forward to it because, to be honest, I could lose a pound or two.

But it never happened so I have decided to ignore him for being such a heartless bitch

Nice try Gerry and not saying it's right but small beer compared when all added up to her sack of cash.

And the NY times.....really? On another anti English rant, they like you and the Scots nats and others are the only ones still on about an empire we recognise long gone.

The bitter burning hatred shines through from all,get a life and drop the attention on the past.

An EU official gets caught with their hand in the till and gets the book thrown at her. Arrested and possibly will do time and her political career in tatters. The stiffer the sentence the better.
In the UK its business as usual, its generosity not bribes. Like Johnson and Russian money, move along now...nothing to see...not worth an investigation.. here https://www.nytimes.com/2022/05/12/world/europe/russian-money-uk-tories.html

Certainly not.

Corruption is alright if the money goes on wine, women and well, even more wine and women, but if you are going to waste the money on a pot of brilliant white emulsion well, that is going a bit too far
mine went on growing hydroponic lettuce.

someone up the road asked the eu to support their investigation into hydroponic culture to avoid the chlorine washed lettuce issue

naturally we took our share of the money (90% of it IIRC) when asked to waste a few months looking into it
<t>In matters of taxation, Lord Clyde\'s summing up in the 1929 case Inland Revenue v Ayrshire Pullman Services is worth a glance.</t>

Streetwalker

No suprise really , the EU has been a feeding ground for anyone with a pass since its beginings .

From your link, Nick:

That's a lot of money. I wonder if I became pro-EU for a while if they would bung us a few quid for some home improvements.
I mean we're talking very small change here.

Certainly not.
