Will UK customers be able to change their water supplier?

I can't see in practical terms changing water supplier is possible. (There is no national water grid.)

Cant see it , I reckon their getting you ready for the bill increase >:(

Our lot have been installing meters anywhere they can get away with it citing being in a water stressed area due to climate change yet we have never had any restrictions .  What they should be saying is population increase means they have to pump an extra 40 gallons per person per day from the aquifiers and though the supply is plenty its not finite .

I did not think we could, but lately I have been getting a series of increasingly arse licking emails from my water company, telling me how much they value my custom and how hard they work on my behalf and no end of similar grovelling missives.

So is this brown nosing campaign because they are about to loose their monopoly or are they just born brown nosers?
