No fresh meat or fresh fish at local Tesco

The local Tesco has shut down permanently the fresh fish and fresh meat counters. Is this happening nationally?

I think the bespoke pizza sections have gone too, and, come to think of it, I haven't noticed the aroma of fresh-baked bread recently at my local supermarket.

Yes I believe it is ,not just Tesco but all supermarkets  though certain stores will retain them .

The 'intrafish' article linked in a later post to yours (good luck reading it all) points out sainsburys have already shut its fresh fish counters. Morrisons round our way seem to never have them manned ...

Just to prove the unreliability of your data, you stated the only ATM was your local PO, which was shutting down. You're now saying you do have a local Tesco, which I told you you had, and there is no Tesco in the land without ATM's. And you wonder why you get so much stick.

Nick the Tesco is 10 miles away. The local post office does not and never has had an ATM, it is counter transaction to withdraw money using a credit/debit card. There are NO ATMs near to where I live. The nearest ones are 10 miles away, at Tesco, Sainburys, and a Spar shop in Helson.

Soaring inflation and rising unemployment means that Tesco's customers can no longer afford either fish or meat.

Frankly I doubt that, however it does explain why the local butcher is cheerful, (for once,) and we now have a fishmongers in the village.)
