How do you feel ?

Having had the long covid you have my sympathies JoG . Dispite having every test under the sun for breathing problems  they couldn't find anything wrong with the air bags bar having asthma . Ive never had asthma I said , its the enlarged heart then  bla bla  I dont think anyone has a clue the damage the Chinese pox did .

Still seem to be getting a bit more with it in recent months , keep on rocking in the free world

Tbe lawn is done and the green bin is full of compacted brambles which covered about ten cubic metres uncompacted. Tbe decking is swept of three lears of leaf litter which is now in one of two compost bins. 

i am duckung knackered and hurt in ways and places i thought it would take a skydiving accident to feel that much pain in. So ends my first day on holiday and i will be doing the same tomorrow. I must be mad

I have taken the decision to go out and re-start sorting out the garden which i last had the stamina and lung capacity to deal with three years ago before the long covid and stroke.

over the weekend i degunked the lawn mower and started the task. I had to stop every second run to regain my breath.

My default position is to be glumly optimistic, but I have to say that a recent adjustment to the family finances have removed a pressing problem and knocked me off balance a bit. I am not suggesting that I enjoyed being under a financial cosh, but the business went on for so long that not having something to worry on has left me at a bit of a loose end..

Still, I dare say that I will learn to live with it

Lawnmowers are like white paint, they are always on special offer, so there should be a bargain showing up sooner or later

Brand new one ordered and on the way. Oddly it was the same price as I paid over ten years go for the one that has died.

I will attempt to repair the broken part. I have some heavy duty glue that I used for a recentl  finished Destroy-It-Yourself project.
I will reluctantly by a new mower if the repair fails.

We had a stroke of luck lawnmowerwise last year. The lad discovered an aerotek cordless 40V sittingg outside somerone's house alongside the dustbin. So being as tight as the proverbial latrine rat he presented himself to the householder and asked if he could have it and got a positive response, whereupon he brought it home, fixed it up and there you are. It cuts 200 square metres on a charge which is about all the mowing I want to do at anyone time.

After watching the news this morning, depressed.  That and the lawnmower broke yesterday, apparently it is obsolete so no spare part available.
