Just seen Napoleon

Looked at it with the wife, I'm not a big fan of Joaquin Phoenix, however I do like Vanessa Kirkby.

I reckon that both Joaquin Phoenix and Vanessa Kirkby did a good job, but they did not have much to work with

Great action scenes and performances by Joaquin Phoenix, Vanessa Kirby and just about everybody else.

The last battle looks like Sharpe's Waterloo with added CGI, but to be fair, nothing can hope to match Sergey Bondarchuk's version with most of the Russian army as extras and Christopher Plummer calling, "Now Maitland, now is your time!" and the redcoats arising like magic from the cornfield.

But that is ok. The real problem is that Ridley Scott just does not seem to find Napoleon interesting
, which makes it hard for the audience to do so.
