The difference being , I think , is that they face prosecution in the UK for being illegals . After they have been processed as being illegals and no claim for asylum has been made (unlikely given they are doing one ) we can then deport them from where they came ,  France .

The other difference being if the UK tries dumping illegals arriving here back where they are known to have come from, some smarmy lawyer paid from British taxes jumps up and fights it, or unbelievably we bring the scum back when the country we take them back to refuses them entry

It really is time we started treating illegals the way they're treated where they left, dump them in a gutter and laugh when they ask for help from the state.

After all, that's how this government treated me when I went blind and thus jobless waiting for an NHS cataract operation.why the F@@@ should an illegal whose paid the state F@@@ all get a better deal than a citizen whose paid tax and NI for 39 years ??

I see Boris has decided to take up one of the ideas I've advocated for a while and is dumping a planeload of criminals back where they came from. Or will do if said smarmy lawyers are not rightly thwarted.

Mind you, if he keeps this up I might have to shell out and join the party

To France's credit however, they have immediately 'returned' those illegals to the UK....unlike the UK when they find illegal immigrants to the UK from lorries that have come over from France, or illegals caught crossing the channel  in boats.

The UK ridiculously 'encourages' illegal immigration, because once in the UK, only a very tiny faction of illegals are returned - the rest have 'made it'.

After passing through a 'safe' country, potential 'asylum seekers' are clearly bogus.....they are merely 'selective country' migrants. Yes , that may well be because they have relatives here - nevertheless, continued 'acceptance' of such bogus immigrants only encourages even more to try.

It wasn't very welcoming to those illegals though was it. It shipped the buggers straight back.

Funny that.

France can dump illegals from us back on us, but none of the EU countries can dump the ones arriving on a Mediterranean beach back where they came from ....

Really? What has given you that idea?

Sorry to you and JoG - It was sarcasm, they left France for the UK in the first place.

I just wonder whose "datasets" to mirror another poster this will affect.

Either way, I see no problem - France is a very welcoming country.
