That will just lead to all-out war and probably the advent of WWIII

Iran needs wiping off the face of the Earth, concrete over it and make a huge Skateboard park.
I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you.

Borg Refinery

It does appear some got through at least.

QuoteMost missiles were shot down by Israeli aerial defence systems, an Israeli security official said, while a BBC correspondent in Jerusalem said some military bases may have been hit, and that restaurants and schools were hit.

Luckily, Israel say only two were injured by shrapnel, I hope that's the extent of the injuries, bad but could have been worse. They may be downplaying casualties to make Iran look bad.

Its probably been seen as too expensive to warrant the cost of what was always a minimal threat .Times change though as does the perceived threats

Im sure Starmer and Lammy will sort it out

Actually a lot of Irans missiles seem to be getting through and hitting military targets.

Israel is much smaller than the UK and therefore it is easier to set up a comprehensive air defense system.

They are however expensive and the Air Defense Interceptor missiles are often far more expensive than the missiles being targeted. Plus of course the large US fleet sitting off the coast is also firing its own Interceptor missiles from both ship and plane.

The danger for Israel is that its Air Defenses get exhausted shooting down low value targets which then leaves the skies vulnerable to the expensive missiles that both Iran and Hezbollah have in their inventories.

This of course is only the opening salvoes, how it develops over the next few days will be very interesting.

Israel have many systems available:

Iron dome is a short range anti missile system:

David's Sling is a long range ballistic missile interceptor.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/David%27s_Sling

Iron Beam is a high powered laser which can concentrate kilowatts of power onto the size of a coin at long distances. It should be operational next year and will be a real game changer as an anti missile and aircraft weapon, in my opinion.

What do we have in the UK? I didn't know, but it looks like we have various integrated defence systems including Sky Sabre, which replaced Rapier.

I don't pretend to know anything military but am impressed by this thing that Israel has that stops bombs if they are going to hit inhabited areas. Israel is a lot bigger than us so have we got something similar or are our skies wide open for when some maniac decided to attack?
