I can seriously see a future where Boris rejoins politics, joins Reform and either gets made head of the party or shadow deputy PM (assuming they become the opposition, at least in pollsters' views if not in parliament) - and Farage and he storm to victory.

It seems increasingly clear that's more or less what people want, it's probably the case they are collectively going to be more popular than Labour if the current trajectory stays unaltered

It will be interesting to see just how long the Westminster party leave Starmer in No 10. Equally how many actually step away altogether. I see civil war not just in Westminster but on the streets if Labour continues as they are. The power drug has really gone to some of their heads.

I'd like to say that mid-term council elections generally go against the government, but Labour have just clocked up 3 months and the electorate are already clearly turning against them.

It's definitely bad news for them. Their majority will continue to drop, but has a long way to go to force an election.

QuoteBlackpool has voted for its first Reform UK councillor after the party's candidate Jim O'Neill won the Marton by-election - taking the seat from Labour.

The seat became vacant following the General Election when previous councillor Sarah Smith stepped down after being elected as Labour MP for Hyndburn.

A bad omen for Labour?
