I was asking a rhetorical question. Ok let's reframe it.

"Is it ok to have difficulty not wishing a politician/someone dead because his/her political views do not coincide with my own"?

Edit - or is it ok to suggest acid being thrown in the face of someone whose views you dislike would be better than a milkshake?

Ah, but Jo Brand was joking ....

Abbott wasnt when she said it was important her thugs knew where I lived, and Hain wasnt when he incited them to throw me out of Swansea, violently.

And Abbott said that live on andrew Neil's politics show and Hain put hat instruction in print in the western daily press

Sadly plid didnt seem to see this as a breach of election law.

But on the day, the Chief Constable walked into the pub in question, seemed to be expecting a bunch of skinheads and was genuinely surprised to see forty men the least well dressed of whom (me) was in a £300 suit....

and so he asked us to please stay quietly put in it and carry on drinking while the 120 uniformed officers he brought with him persuaded Hains boot boys down the road making a nuisance of themselves to f**k off.

I have the video somewhere.

Regrettably, the lefty bastards came back the next day and utterly wrecked the joint ...

I don't care for Miram Margolyes but I can think of a useful purpose for her - to put her in a verbal cage fight with Ann Widdecombe.

Fair enough.

Actually I think it was JoG -

Now maybe I've misread it, ok, but it sounds personally directed and at the very least is an implication that I'm endorsing some kind of extremist furry rights BS, which is absurd..

"If you have a problem with kittens used in animal experiments being killed at the end of the experiment, go firebomb and nail bomb the politicians who made the bloidy law demanding it, not the scientists who would risk imprisonment for not following the laws demands."

Oh, its just JoG. He rants at everyone from time to time. He can talk about mad scientists, he fecking is one

Mod Notice

OK a good thread with a lot of funny stuff in  a non political section, can we keep it light hearted and get back to a bit of harmless banter.

I think you'll find the mods here pretty fair - few get banned unless is persistent offensive. BYT is pretty middle of the road, Cromwell is Ken Clarke in disguise, I think Javert is an Arch remainer liberal, and not sure about Nalaar? I think he's Doctor Emmett Brown ("you're just not thinking fourth dimensionally!"). BYT is the prettiest one btw.

Who said you incited the nail bombing of scientists ffs?

Fair enough.

Fair enough, Deppity.

Just for the record, I quite like folks on here but I've noticed some really very nasty ad hom implications chucked my way,  like 'you are inciting the nail bombing of scientists'..

WTF?

I've got thick skin (you could say.... I'm thick) but that's gonna boil the blood for sure. If I can respond in kind ok, but if I'm prohibited while they can talk like that, that's out of line.

I got banned from the other place for responding in kind to tw@ts who were allowed to get away with nasty stuff, my posts deleted etc. I hope that won't happen here..

Just saying as it's along the exact same lines of what Deppity's saying. Free speech for everyone, or for none..

Cromwell will have to take a paracetamol and go and have a lie down in a dark room

You think?,no happily the days of mod in a pocket, overnight edits and clean ups and immunity however bad the behaviour have long gone,no one is bullet proof.....not even the mods.

How is not being happy in England an offensive comment though?

Most proud patriots ain't happy here either, they want things to be different. I'll criticise her for her trdogly bitch-doo on other things, but can't in good conscience criticise her for that one.

Just saying. No offence like.

I didn't mean her "not happy in England" schtick, I meant her Boris comments, that some may (old Tories from the 1922 committee mainly) find offensive. I'm happy for her to make those comments if she wants, as long as she doesn't then demand people who make comments she doesn't like be "muzzled". Its not about the offence, we'd never get anything said. Its about the hypocrisy (of mainly liberal left luvvies)

None taken.

Yes he did do that to you, your thread.

He did. But the anti smurf software kicked in and told him to go fecking spin on this up-turned finger. This has the effect of deflecting him from his stride and reducing his "posts per hour" count, thus ensuring the thread survives more than 2 pages before having the oxygen choked out of it.

You should try it. DD software comes with a 1 day warranty and is compatible with all operating systems, even after eleven pints of Stella.

As for whatever other rubbish that hideous woman posts I've no further interest, it's like the sound of yawping shitsu's.. listening to her inane dribbling.

Anyway, back to the subject, Miriam Gargoyle

Quote from: Miriam MargoylesThe comments in the Daily Telegraph are terrifying. Social media commenting should stop! We should muzzle the potential of people to express these views

Her own rank hypocrisy appears lost on her. She seems perfectly happy with her own right to make borderline offensive comments, then in the next breath she's advocating that people who express opinions she doesn't like should be muzzled?

QuoteI am not happy in England

Ok, fair enough. Feck off somewhere else then, you hideous old trog.
