I'd rather the better quality political journals and political magazines came down in price, so we the paysans can afford them. Look at the price of a sub to something like 'foreign affairs' just for example. There are some good free ones like columbia journalism review, but they are few and far between.

The problem with newspapers for those with connection to the www at least is that they are yesterdays news .  The last time I read one in print form was probably on a flight back from USA  last year and that was a free handout of the Independent .I think the Mail was also on offer but they had all gone .

Funniest thing you will see is the brothers and sisters standing at glesga central trying , and failing to hand out free copies of their mouthpiece rags to people who walk on buy telling them to feck off.

Lots of Scottish newspapers (most notably everything in the Herald And Times Group) had already ducked out of providing ABC figures at all, but this will be a godsend for the rest to save their growing embarrassment.

It probably has now that EU loving remainer Geordie Grieg is Editor. I used to think that the London Evening Standard wasn't fit to wipe my backside with, but these days under the reign of Giddy Osborne it has lost so much advertising that it isn't even thick enough for that.

Paper sales have fallen off a cliffedge that much in scotland that most of them dont even announce their daily sales .
