As well as capitalism, other systems such as communism, socialism, fascism, Nazism, absolute monarchies, fundamentalist theocracies, chaotic tyrannies and failed states should all be covered in history and politics.

Economics on the other hand should concentrate on mixed economy capitalism since that's what we have in place now and for the foreseeable future.

Very selective quoting on your part. That you can't see the obvious is not my problem.
Strange response — I haven't just picked one word to quibble over. I was commenting on what appeared to be the absence of a discernible link between the elements...

Nothing other than capitalism can be taught.

I don't understand the connection between the thread's title, your comment, and the link you provide.

The official recommendations appear to suggest teaching material from organisations like Paedophile Information Exchange, Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network, Stonewall, etc, could be unsuitable for use in schools...

The latest edict to English schools is bloody outrageous. To achieve the aim a lot of English history will have to be banned as well.

Schools should not under any circumstances use resources produced by organisations that take extreme political stances on matters. This is the case even if the material itself is not extreme, as the use of it could imply endorsement or support of the organisation.
