"Pre flight" checks on the car.

Now me being a sad belt and braces of a nervous disposition type. (Due to life experience of "character building moments.)
I always do basic safety checks before our car or motorcycles go out on the road, lights, fluid levels, tyre pressures.
Yesterday I was glad of that.
One of the car tyres had the tread starting to leave the carcass. I got on the phone to the local Cornish tyre emporium, they had one tyre of the correct specification left. Appointment for getting it fitted later in the day.

As I am under shielding regulations my wife took the car to the tyre emporium and was able to get her own back on the tourists by driving very slowly.
