I remember when I first moved to the states, Songs from the South was banned and even the Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe was banned due to it's anti religious connotations.
I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you.

I think most other channels have already edited out certain words that were used in that episode long ago, and this channel probably realised that they were (maybe inadvertantly) broadcasting the original unedited version.

I'm sure you can still see the unedited version if you purchase it or get it from a place where you must be an adult to procure it.

I'm not really in favour of editing out such things completely where it's in the context of a character who is using racist terminology as part of that character's behaviour, but I can see an argument for not broadcasting it pre-watershed or through channels where there is no effective parental control.

On many channels the word in question would not be allowed to be broadcast in any context at any time, which again IMO could be questionable if it's in the context of a historical situation where that word would have been used and there is no glorification of it involved.

Another good but much less well known example is the musical "Showboat" which contains all sorts of racist lyrics in the songs and dialogue, but it's not meant to glorify those things, but more just how those people would have spoken historically at that time.

The war episode pulled from uktv.
Not because of the Germans but the majors comments about cricket and teams,it was a comical interpretation of attitudes really taking the pee out of ourselves and not racist at all.
