I binned Sky about 18 months ago and bought a a Freeview and a freesat box plus a 5.99 a month Netflix subscription. I was paying 90 a month with sky.

Don't miss Sky one but they clearly miss me as they keep trying to give a away to get me to sign up, not a chance.

Now I've never been shy about my love of a pint, a flutter and a Saturday afternoon in the pub, and Jeff/SS has always been a huge part of that. Theres a lot to be said for hearing one of the pundits describe why city are 3 nils down after 20 minutes, and short of actually going yourself, no better way of knowing whats actually going on on the park. Many of us have found it a part of our weekend routine for the neck end of 25 years

Nevertheless, it was only a matter of time before the zealots got hold of that too, and finally killed off any lingering illusions that football is in anyway a 'working class sport' any more. Matt Le T, Charlie and Phil T have got the big boot, and are going to be replaced with the usual proviso that "we have to be more inclusive and diverse". We all know why they are going - because they raised questions about "Black Lives Matter"s Marxist agenda, and the rest followed. Sorry guys, but politics and sport always ends badly. It looks like Jeff might be going too, although thats looks voluntary

So, that's me done with SkySports and Sky period. TV, internet and phone, all done. I'll be changing to a new provider ASAP, even if its more expensive, and whatever the disruption. After 17 years of subscriptions, no more of this shite. Go feck yourselves Sky.

It seems that the country if not the world in in thrall to a kind of lynch mob which has decided that anything perceived to be unfair in their eyes should be eliminated. Not just BLM, but Extinction rebellion,  and I'm sure there are plenty of others who in their wisdom feel that their 'truth' albeit a minority view is far more important and perfect  than anyone else's. Common sense seems to be taking an extended holiday while the opinion warriors support any and every new wave viewpoint if for no other reason than they are scared stiff to object.

It's a sad world and where Sky leads I'm afraid others will only too quickly follow.

Not if we cancel our subscription they wont . I have virgin media cable and told them last week to take all thinks Sky off my package . I probably haven't gone far enough .the Mrs wont let me stop paying the TV tax ,well she will worry about it but a stand against this nonsense has been made .

Just got to find a good sports stream and Happy days .

They rip everyone off - want F1? You have to buy everything as you can't get it alone - that would be £40 a month.

Not that I would ever even consider, ever, giving them a penny as Sky was a big Murdoch enterprise - but it still would have been a ripoff. I liked football but mainly the italian and spanish leagues around 2014, 15 but have given up on it as it becomes so money obsessed.

To be honest Ive been questioning the amount the Mrs gives to Virgin media for some time . Super duper IT connection land line and every channel across the board including all the Sky comes to a mind boggling £130 a month . Of which we probably only watch half a dozen channels regular . Taking all the Sky off brings it down to about £90 which is still a lot seeing as on a Bank holiday Monday she is sitting in the lounge watching Cleopatra on sony movies whilst fast asleep (bless her )

I would get rid of the lot and go down the pub , preferably one without a telly .

Follow the money — Sky's going to boost its income any legal way it can. Refreshing programme presentation after years of comfortable, but slipping, sameness is just one way. Even BBC does this when necessary.
Perhaps if Express, Mail and Telegraph readers generate enough of a backlash, they might get a rethink...

You've probably never even watched Soccer Saturday Lord Snooty, so what the feck would you know.

On climate change — we're talking, we're beginning to act, but we're still not doing enough...

Sportsmen themselves have encouraged a lot of support especially for BLM. I am not convinced that the park is the right place for political statement.
