Surely the more news outlets there are the better

Not if they tell lies and propaganda there are more than enough of those as it is.

Well yes MSM is getting a tad lefty to say the least and It will be good to have the lies and propaganda that suits ones beliefs . The only down side is of course that debate will be shut down as channels just spout their own version of the news  along with their own viewpoint of it .

The political divide will widen , political opinion will be unmoving .

Surely the more news outlets there are the better — especially if they're crewed mostly by competent, skilled professionals. Farage, Galloway and Livingstone could be introduced as entertaining light relief.
I can't see the Fox News style lasting in the UK beyond an initial novelty interest. So possibly it will be more of a contrast to social media and the red tops...
On climate change — we're talking, we're beginning to act, but we're still not doing enough...

Sorry papa but it's a absurd joke, we know how much you hate Thatcher, hence the 'you love thatcher' thing.

One day someone will buy you a sense of humour for xmas. :)

It may be difficult for you to understand but I do take it as nasty slur.  I lost good friends and relatives during the Thatcher era, who died due to the stress she caused them, and many others had their lives ruined in ways that have lasted to this day.
I hate Thatcher and the Tories, and my hatred of Tories also goes back 61 years.

It is why I am  disgusted that not one but two right wing lies and propaganda TV news channels are being proposed.

I apologize if I was a bit too harsh and maybe went too far, but in the beginning it was a fairly light joke about you loving Thatcher.

That is not a joke it is a very offensive slur.

...lol

. My sides are splitting here again.

You mean the thread from yesterday which descended into farce when you told people what they can and cannot post on my thread (ie "you have to be serious"?).

I apologize if I was a bit too harsh and maybe went too far, but in the beginning it was a fairly light joke about you loving Thatcher.

Anyway.

It will be great to have a new channel. IMO RT gets boring and we all know Alexei Navalny wasn't poisoned right papa?

There are rumours that a new "news" channel is being set up with Andrew Neil, Julia Hartley-Brewer, and Nigel Farage as the team fronting it.
I fail to see how that could be anything other than a right wing lies and propaganda outlet.
