So anyway while we have all been doing nothing some bright spark from the Palace has been doing some historical research and says  he can now prove (there's a paper trail) a connection between Crystal Palace FC 1905 with Crystal Palace FC 1861.

That makes my club the oldest in the World . Which makes the fact that we have never won anything of note even more of a mystery than why it has taken 150 years for this to come to light .

Sport is all about being live for me . I find it as boring as Bargain Hunt when I know the outcome . Ive seen somewhere that BT sport are not taking the monthly fee for the next couple of months in recognition that there isn't actually any sport on .

Hows the non sport Saturday  going Cromwell ?  Have been self isolating since last weekend when the Mrs started barking  . I had a dose of it midweek but am just tired now . Hope its just a non connected bug .

Well I did hear that sky sports in the absence of anything else are showing the origami championship cup,mind it's paper view.

Every cloud has a silver lining though . Its not the bin dippers yet  . It would really make my (sporting )year if this came to pass . Payback time !

Who knows where this will all end up now but I guess it will be the last of our worries in another couple of months time .



Anyway good game today . We won 1-0 with Benteke scoring from 30 yards dipping under the bar giving the keeper no chance .  Zaha had an off day and VAR ruled out two Bournemouth  goals though one of them looked a bit harsh .

Roy Hodgson said the best team won and we deserved the points (up to 9th now )  though Im a bit worried for him as he seemed to have a nasty cough !



We will be last on Match of the day as usual  so I don't think Ill bother

Make the most of it fellas they'll be stopping all large gatherings soon. Oh I guess it depends on your club which ones are classified as large!  

 I guess your right Toots ,once the virus establishes itself all gatherings of more than 10 will be probably be cancelled though I think the Italian leagues are going ahead this week behind closed doors
