British retail sales have continued to increase for the fourth consecutive month, boosted by spending on household goods and DIY, according to official figures.

The Office for National Statistics (ONS) said retail sales volumes rose by 0.8% between July and August.

Sales are now 4% higher than in March, when a pandemic was declared.

"Retail sales continued to grow, further surpassing their pre-pandemic level," the ONS said.

Herself still has not forgotten about the shower room and the builder wants me to take out a second mortgage to pay for it. So I have collared my lad, pointed him in the general direction of YouTube's how to do most anything section and told him that I will pay him an extremely small sum if he gets cracking on the project sometime between now and death.

That is my idea of DIY
LOL he doesn't like being trolled back.
Just because I don't say anything, it doesn't mean I haven't noticed!
