It is quite remarkable just how little the heads of state are paid. 150k plus expenses? Petty change compared to the corporate world they are charged with regulating ect.

Its even more remarkable when  running Croydon Council sees you trouser £220K a year  or even being in charge of 'children's services' for the same council gets you 25K more than the PM

I just had my little foray into the Daily Fail and came across this

Now I am sure there will be those glad to have his money, currently £150,000 but the loss of his newspaper column salary and other activities has no doubt thrown him a curved ball. In actual fact I don't think £150,000 is enough for his job, there are enough civil servants topping him, but it might go some way towards explaining the general lack lustre in his performance. I would imagine the hot seat has rather lost its appeal.

I have said elsewhere that he will be gone by next Summer once Brexit is done and this information kind of confirms that to me.

Maybe Boris should have a word with Blair who's net worth is estimated to be somewhere north of £25 million . Not bad for an ex PM .

I have a nasty feeling that he was setting that up throughout his premiership. Thank goodness he never made EU President. I should think he was properly deflated by the Ref. result.

Indeed , I thought that throwing a spanner in Tonys works was reason enough to vote leave on its own . 

I think you could be right about Johnson . He hasnt had his usual bounce since he had the covid and from experience its a  hard road back after the virus .
