Actually, most of our local shops spent months shut thanks to boris, and then two more shut thanks to drakeford the dickhead in the bay

I did get a haircut last week, and made sure i gave them a massive tip !

Fair play on tipping well to keep them going. We did the same with several businesses, especially the Indian restaurant which we want to stay in existence.

What have you done this year to support your local High Street shops?

I am shielding my wife does the shopping.
In the nearby town there have been practically no high street  shops to use for at least the last two decades. (A Boots and a Superdrug just about covers it.)
The village has an excellent butchers shop/delicatessen.

Yes, but to be fair, if the economy relied on you, it would be the Chinese economy wouldn't it?

On a regular basis it is announced that a chain of high street shops is closing. In the main they appear to be one's I have never used.
I can't remember the last time I went to a cinema, I can't remember ever going to a theatre.
As for pubs I rarely went in one before the pandemic because of the cost. I rarely use restaurants because of cost.
