Where was it that I read a comment about the BBC... claiming they sent a squad of people to Dover to cover the carnage the new year was expected to bring, and when they found none, and found the queues caused by French action gone, they claimed it was not a "proper" day and the carnage would start on Monday, as Nd when they came on Monday may and found the port operating smoothly, instead of reporting the truth they fucked off and found something in the US to be drearily spouting doom and gloom about ...
