Nah the Israelis and Iranians are feeling left out. All back squabbling over the middle east. The price of oil is making a massive comeback. The Chinese will need to keep their supplies flowing and Israel says they will cut them off.
Just because I don't say anything, it doesn't mean I haven't noticed!

Well, a shooting war could be closer than you would want to think.
There are multiple exercises taking place at the moment on both the US Empire and China/Russia partnership side.
All the exercises are very large and a lot of analysts are saying the same thing, that these exercises are very different in character from those of previous years, even those undertaken back in the cold war.
Previously, exercises were all about Deterrence, all about Deterring an enemy from undertaking a military operation.
These exercises seem not to be about deterring a fight, but about actually starting and winning a fight.

The US has clearly been spooked by the Chinese Russian Strategic Partnership, which it seems works by saying " if you attack one of us in relation to a particular hotspot, we will respond immediately by starting conflict in all of our other hotspots. So if conflict breaks out between China and US over Taiwan, Russia will move against the Ukraine, Georgia possibly the Baltics states etc, plus possible other moves in the Mid East and other places.

The US has responded by undertaking massive exercises in an attempt to reassure its allies, that it can fight on multiple fronts in the Asia Pacific, Black Sea and North Atlantic. This is undermined by the recently released results of US Wargames over Taiwan, played in last October. Here the full USN was committed to a fight against China and lost.....

No need to worry Sheepy, in the event the British Bulldog behaved itself and didn't disgrace itself on other peoples property.
In addition to the very stern warning s from Beijing, the British were also given a public bollocking by US Defence Chief Lloyd Austin who suggested that the UK Carriers would be far more useful in the Atlantic Theater, rather than get in the way blundering around in the Asia Pacific Region.
Given that most of the Carriers Escorts are from other NATO navies, including a couple of US Ships and that half the Aircraft on the Carrier are from and flown by the US Marine Corps, London has had no option but to do as it is told. So much for upholding global Britain!

HMS Queen Elizabeth and Escorts have now exited the South China Sea's into the Philippines Sea after sticking to the properly designated International Shipping Lanes.
Probably just as well, for after HMS Defender was given a good chase by the Russian Bear, sending it to face an Angry Chinese Dragon in its lair was hardly a good idea, certainly in light of the very plain warnings that had been issued. All the more so as HMS Defender is the only Type 45 Destroyer that is currently serviceable.

So exit British Bulldog from the South China Sea's with tail firmly between legs...
I cannot say I am overly bothered, the Chinese already told us they want a world that is more contusive, while at the same time centralising their power, the EU said the same thing and look how that turned out, pesky populists.
Just because I don't say anything, it doesn't mean I haven't noticed!

China has been closely monitoring the progress eastward of the Carrier Strike Group, which is currently sailing through the South China Sea en route to Japan, while accusing Britain of "still living in its colonial days". LOL

Too late Joe that boat has sailed,China will be numerous uno but I suspect not as long as the US were.

Times change and more rapidly.
The Chinese are dealing with us pesky populists and our belief in democracy, they know how to deal with us, set the Westminster party bully boys on us, but then that goes both ways, they are sailing around the South China sea the last I heard. Last heard shouting we ain't scared of you either.

President Joe Biden has warned that the US could end up in a "shooting war" with a major power as a result of a cyber attack.
He said he couldn't guarantee this, but he thought a real shooting war with a major power could be as a consequence of a cyber breach of great consequence.

He was pointing out how cyber threats, including ransomware attacks, are increasingly are able to cause damage and disruption to the real world and that they are increasing exponentially too.

Biden also said Russian president Vladimir Putin has an economy that has nuclear weapons and oil wells and little else, and knows he's in real trouble, making him even more dangerous.

Biden also pointed out that president Xi Jinping is "deadly earnest" about becoming the most powerful military force in the world, as well as the largest — the most prominent economy in the world by the mid-2040s.

The president made his views known as it was reported the US is to give ransomware "terrorism" status and that from now on thew Dept of Justice will require all ransomware cases to be centrally coordinated via Washington...
