All I want for Christmas is my family around me as usual and no talk of emigrating from our kids for a change, Brexit to happen with no strings, and Poloticians to grow up man up, and deliver what they promise to do, but I think that maybe a bridge too far. :(

The majority of my close relatives are either dead or emigrated a long time ago.

All I want for Christmas is a fine still Christmas day so we can cook our Christmas dinner on the brick built barbecue I built earlier in the year.

(Cooking Christmas dinner on the beach is now off of the agenda due to access difficulties to the nearest beaches.)

Just watch out for that big wave I saw in the distance! :)

Having listened so far to Jo at her children's party and now Jezza at his student bash I am ready to start to write my letter to Santa.

Now being of a certain age it suits me to have free personal care if it's needed in the future. Presumably this will leave what I have accrued, to the local dog's home with a clear conscience safe in the knowledge that none of my grandchildren will face University fees, little tax expenditure and safe jobs for life. Housing will be abundant so that's another care that diminishes for the future. There will be no wars because of course there is a promise of no nuclear weapons and cosy conversations with anyone threatening us or ours until they subside in a stupor of acquiescence.

The so called rich will no longer exist, I guess large houses will be used for something essential to the common good, maybe socialist vegan peace communes focusing on free love but that will be irrelevant to me.

With so many goodies in the political shop windows it's hard to know which to buy from. My mother's words ring in my ears. 'Only Labour will do anything for me' - so with that in mind perhaps that's the door I need to open.

Hang on a minute though. Is that wave fast approaching the shores that threatens to sink this green and pleasant land under a weight of debt and misery irrelevant too?  Maybe I'll wait for BJ to see if he has a lifeboat...tbc
