I don't think it's impossible for Labour to win the next election on its own even if they're not exactly on any sort of bandwagon at the moment. If people have had enough of the Tories by 2024, that alone could tip the balance.

The Lib Dems must have learned that going into coalition with another bigger party only benefits the bigger party. But if they and Labour go in for a good and honest merger, then they become part of the bigger party.

Nah.

That is the great thing about the Lib Dems. They never learn or maybe they just care. They haven't an idea other than grovelling to the EU for readmission and turning the UK into an organic vegan snack bar.

When Boris was born his Fairy Godmother said, "Well lad, you are an amoral self centred little sod and there isn't much I can do about that other than to make your opponents such total tossers that even you won't have any problems with them"

I doubt the populists will ever stop fighting on behalf of democracy, it is a core belief, so I wouldn't go counting any chickens you can latch onto a Labour party.
Just because I don't say anything, it doesn't mean I haven't noticed!
